The mission of the Johnson County Long Term Recovery Group (JCLTRG) is to restore hope and stability in Johnson County, Tennessee, by addressing the ongoing needs of our community in the aftermath of disaster. Through collaboration, compassion, and resilience, we are committed to the fair, equitable, and transparent rebuilding of homes and lives, while fostering a stronger, more prepared, and connected community for the future.
Disaster Case Management

Provide personalized support to impacted individuals and families to identify and address unmet recovery needs.

Assess disaster-impacted client eligibility for services and prioritize cases based on need.

Facilitate connections between clients and available recovery resources.

Conduct regular follow-ups with clients to monitor progress and provide ongoing support.
Emotional and Spiritual Care

Offer compassionate emotional/mental health and spiritual support to individuals and families impacted by disaster.

Establish partnerships with local faith-based organizations and mental health providers.

Organize community support groups and wellness events to promote healing.

Provide on-call counseling services for individuals in crisis.
4. Construction Management

Facilitate the repair, rebuilding, and construction of homes and infrastructure damaged by disaster.

Ensure all construction activities meet safety, quality, and compliance standards.

Prioritize projects based on urgency and community impact.
Unmet Needs Management

Serves as a central component of the Recovery Process to identify unmet needs of survivors including vulnerable populations (i.e. elderly, disabled, low income).

Establish a fair and equitable intake/application process for those who self-identify or are referred to the JCLTRG by other organizations and voluntarily agree to receive services.

Receive and act on referrals from Case Management Services.
Financial Reporting and Donation Management

Ensure transparent and accurate tracking of all funds and donations received for recovery efforts by using professional accounting software.

Maintain detailed records of all donations and expenditures.

Oversee the grant writing/proposal process.

Develop a process for assessing and approving funding requests from other action areas.

Coordinate fundraising campaigns and donor acknowledgment efforts.
